Google analytics. But make sure you have all the meta tags possible.

Submit your site to Google and other search engine.
make sure you have enough keywords on your site so that when search engine crawls to your site they will get the keywords. you can also buy PPC from popular search engine and if you are selling anything then add your site to Google Base its free.

They are pretty much the most important things when trying to get your website to show up on google. The more high pr back-links you have the higher you will rank in google. Make sure you have high pr backlinks(the best backlinks to have). They are two ways you can get backlinks, one is to generate backlinks yourself, you will need to have a little knowledge about backlinks to do this or you have to do alot of research to figure it out.
I went to http://www.shop.buycheap-wholesale.com , they are a backlink building service and they are the best online that I have found. They do all the work for you, I bought 100 high pr backlinks, these backlinks all had a (pr of 6,7,8, or 9) Which is awsome. I paid I think $80, but they have other packages of backlinks. Still compared to $450 that one website charged I think $80 was a steal. After about a week my website was on the first page on google.
