What’s the best way to improve my search engine rankings.?
February 8th, 2010I’ve been trying to learn SEO for about a month now and all I really get is a bunch of information that I can’t actually apply. I have an ecommerce store that I would like to market and get some good search engine rankings.
Is there any good SEO blueprints out there, that will teach how to rank step by step?
I was in your shoes a few years ago and I feel your pain. You can learn all the SEO in the world but if you don’t have a solid step by step game plan, chances are you won’t get any results.
When it comes down to it, SEO is all about
1. Finding the right keywords to rank for
2. Optimizing your website to rank in Google for those keywords
3. Then building backlinks with those keywords

Which one is better to do, learn CSS or just use the drag and drop softwares?
I heard u can make a website in photoshop (i know how to use photoshop) or can you only make web templates in photoshop (pls explain)?
Which one will get the best ranking in search engines?

Don’t solely use photoshop – search engines can’t read images, just text, and so the site will not rank well. Avoid drag and drop software and any free website offers too – both do badly in search engines.
Web pages can be built offline and for free using simple Microsoft notepad or any other text editor. First you would need to learn two simple programming languages, html – how to build web pages, and css – how to add styling, (colours, fonts etc). Then you need to buy a domain name (couple of quid for 2 years) and some web hosting (about three quid a month). The pages can then be uploaded to the hosting company’s server using free ftp (file transfer protocol) software such as filezilla (download it) and the site is live. All of these also claim to give you better search engine ranking. What I was wanting to know is what seo software is the best to get me higher search engine ranking. Thank you in advance everyone.
You do realize that to get good software to seo your site it will cost you atleast 50-200. This completely depends on what you may be looking ffor and what type of site you may have. I normally go to massivemarketers for new software they may be offering. They also try to keep there blog completely up to date on new products and service. With the huge amounts of information they have offered me from adsense to seo I was able to finally get my site ranking really well.

There are no industry standard SEO tools. Most people use several techniques and sometimes software programs that speed up the process, but there is no one program. A lot of programs will make the claim that it’s all in one, but it doesn’t work that way. There are many variables when it comes to search engine optimization. First you have to understand your need for keywords related to your site’s topic and from there you have to optimize the site with title tags, keywords, metatags, h1 tags, h2 tags, etc… Then you have to do off page optimization by getting back links. There is a lot more to it than just clicking on a program although there are several programs that can help you out.
